I have a quote in my classroom similar to this. "You know you've read a good book when you finish it and it feels as if you've lost a friend." Each time I read Twilight and the Harry Potter series I feel this way.
I literally blush and sheepishly smile when a character does something embarrassing. I feel their embarrassment. So that forces me to also close the book and blush. And blush. Till my red cheeks turn back to normal!
This is so funny to me because I always make jokes about how many books I have all over the house that haven't even been cracked open, yet I'll still go to the bookstore and buy about 10 books that look like "good reads".
"You might not notice this but each character has a distinct 'voice' inside your head while you're reading his or her lines." I completely understand, for they always look differently than the author wrote them to be. Thoughts from a Bookworm
