1970s Gas Rationing. You couldn't get gas unless you had less than half a tank; you could only get gas on alternate days depending on the last digit of your license plate. |I remember waiting with my father in long lines to get gas.|
Grocery Store Checkout, 1970's. Notice all the different sizes of paper bags, but no plastic in those days. And no scanner. All the items had a price on it and the checker pushed buttons to enter the price. You paid with cash or if you wrote a check, you showed two pieces of id. It too a lot longer to check out back then.
