Neat idea to have built in kitchen island area for the dog food dishes. I would really like not tripping over dog bowls all the time. I would have to figure out the height though. My mini doxie and pit mix aren't exactly the same height

Love the idea of built in pet bowls, I'm constanly tripping over our dogs' food and water bowls. The tin ceiling looks pretty cool also but I'm not sure if it would be too much for our kitchen (we already have a tin ceiling in our living room)

love the idea of built in dog dishes, perhaps where dog food is stored in mudroom?

Pet Friendly A corner message center in this kitchen works well for the homeowners and their four-legged friends. A convenient chalkboard makes it easy to leave reminders for the whole family. Below the message center, a shelf houses dog food and water bowls, and baskets below stash toys.

I love this but i would put a cool shelf that follows the line from the top of the doorway, across the room (on the wall with the stove). It would come down at a sharp angle and then have horizontal shelving with asymmetric end points. It's cool in my head.

This solves a lot of my problems- stinky dog food and wanting to be tidy.
