Okay, loved this book! At the end of the story though, I could hardly see to read because tears were streaming down my face!!

Mom always had Munro Leaf's cartoons around to teach us lessons. Leaf's notable creation was the Watchbirds cartoon series, a cartoon commentary on human behavior. It ran as regular feature in the Ladies' Home Journal and was later collected into several books. He also wrote and illustrated Ferdinand the Bull.

Even better that Hosseini's first book: The Kite Runner. Gut Wrenching and inspiring all at once.
