The May Teen Book Club Title is When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead. Great read if you like time travelling stories. A blend of fantasy and realistic fiction. A must read for those who love A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle.

One of my favorite reads from the last years. "The Poisonwood Bible is beautifully written and uniquely so. The vantage points of five strong females fuels a story about guilt, religiosity, spirituality, innocence, cultural differences, and forgiveness."

I could not put it down! And now that I am done, I am seriously missing it! I might have to start reading it again :)

The Weight of Silence. A student did her book talk on this book and said I had to read it. I read it in 2 days on fall break. LOVED! Although set in Iowa, it had almost a southern fiction feel to it.

I LOVE John Irving. He is truly a literary mastermind and, I think, will one day rank with Ernest Hemmingway and Steinbeck as American masters of the writing craft. A Prayer for Own Meany is no exception. Skillfully written and unabashadly wry, It's no wonder this is my husband's favorite book. I'm not finished yet, but it won't take me long!!!

A studied, gritty look at the world of the traveling circus during the Great Depression. Though the topic didn't grab me at first, the sensitive writing and characterizations drew me in.

Light from a Distant Star by Mary McGarry Morris. Heroine is cross between Scout Finch & Harriet (the Spy) Welch. There is also a murder to solve, and a courtroom trial. Yes, please.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen- I've read this book at least 10 times and I fall in love with it even more each time.

This series is fabulous and was devoured by both my husband and I. We actually fought over the books because we both were reading through them so quickly. I am so glad that we were able to read it together and I can’t wait until my children are old enough that they can enjoy it too.
