Fire Pit: Lay the stones in a circle to determine size of fire pit. A 42" inner diameter works well, adjust per pref/code. Measure the radius, mark as center of fire ring. Use garden spikes around the center to short cut a 4" level sand bed.Accurately align the tops of the first row of stones w level. Minimize the gaps. Limit h to about 12" or 2 rows of stone. Set the stones on a level bed of sand to keep the base stones stable and joints tight.
