Wythe Hotel | Brooklyn, NYC. Simplistic, thoughtful and serene. The rope stitch detail on the bed frame is a nice poetic touch.
Wythe Hotel Brooklyn: The custom beds at Brooklyn’s Wythe Hotel, a converted former textile factory originally built in 1901, are designed by Dave Hollier Woodwork and Design, using reclaimed ceiling timbers. The rooms pay homage to the building's Old-World industrial roots with a clever modern twist. Graphic wallpaper, distinctive wood furnishings, and a brisk color palette lend an air of pure sophistication.

I love architecture and interior design. This is a collection of when those two things meet, and create a cozy nook. Fuck yeah!
To read a book we just need a little cozy corner: at home, in the garden or on the balcony, the important thing is that it's comfortable, quiet and well-lit. More than one year ago I proposed you my project + 5 ideas to create a comfortable reading corner in your home. But reading is one of my passions, as I told you in that post, and in the meantime I came across many other creative ideas that I propose you below. Reading corner with Chaise Reveuse armchair, from An Angel at my table. Accanto alla finestra nel Lakeside cottage, Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada - da Trendir. Window reading nook in Lakeside cottage, Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada - from Trendir. But I'd be curious to know: where is your favorite place to read? Sometimes I lie on the couch with my legs over the back, on winter nights I sit on a chaise longue near the fireplace and now that it's warm I love being in the hammock (just like when I was little). Me on the sofa... Il mio angolo lettura preferito... My favourite reding corner... Eccomi qui. Here I am. E con la mia cagnolina Penny. And with my dog Penny.

My dream bay window nook
Back in July I wrote about Interior designer Jordan Carlyle - here & his NYC apartment. He recently moved to a bigger apartment & wanted to share it with my readers. It's all designed by him & it's double the size of his previous place....in NYC, that is TRULY a blessing. It seems this time around he's incorporated more grays throughout, don't you think? My favorite room in his place is the office -it's just an extra room in his apartment, but feels & looks like a REAL office space. That's what I hope to achieve with my own home office. I also love the way he used the space by the window & made it a window seating area - so gorgeous & great use of space! So bright, yet still serene - LOVE! See more of Jordan's work here. -images by Marcos Fecchino
