The Crowning Chair in Westminster Abbey, every British King or Queen has been crowned in this chair since 1308. On close inspection the chair is covered with graffiti from the 17th and 18th century, those teenagers!!
A Sedan Chair consists of a chair or windowed cabin suitable for a single occupant, carried by at least two porters in front and behind, using wooden rails that pass through brackets on the sides of the chair. These porters were known in London as 'chairmen'.
