Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced yesterday the launch of their annual fundraising campaign #BuckUp for Mental Health in support of Covenant House Vancouver. The campaign begins Saturday, May 7th and culminates at the ‘Caps match on Saturday, May 28th when Whitecaps FC take on Houston Dynamo at BC Place.
On Saturday, July 4th Bowen Island Gives is holding their 4th annual fundraising event and this year is supporting Covenant House with the profits! Their goal is to raise $10,000 to help our youth improve their lives.The hike is up Mt. Gardner on Bowen Island and starts at 10 AM. The party has a super fun live band called Ginger 66 and starts at 7 PM.
Vancouver Diamond Campus Lions Club is hosting the 3rd Annual Covenant House Vancouver Fundraiser at Yuk Yuk's Comedy Club on Friday March 27th at 9:30pm. Doors open at 9:00 pm, so come out early to grab a drink and a spot. We sold out and reached capacity quick last year! The show will be featuring Brett Martin as MC, with Adam Richmond as headliner.
Vancouver Diamond Campus Lions Club is hosting the 2nd Annual Covenant House Vancouver Fundraiser at Yuk Yuk's on March 28th at 10:30pm. Tickets are $20 each and proceeds will go to the Covenant House Vancouver. Feel free to invite your friends, family, or anyone you think will enjoy a great show! On Saturday, May 30, 2015 as Vancouver Whitecaps FC host Real Salt Lake at BC Place, funds will be collected for the #BuckUp for Mental Health campaign. All fans are encouraged to donate $1 to this campaign, with a goal of raising $21,000. All proceeds raised will be donated to Covenant House Vancouver. Our first Sleep Out: Young Professionals edition will be held on February 16th! We are challenging young professionals and emerging leaders to spend one night sleeping on the street to raise funds to support our mental health and addictions programs. Many of our youth struggle with mental illness, often as a result of trauma they have experienced, and many are also battling to overcome addictions.
The magic of Cirque du Soleil returns to Vancouver in spring 2014 with its show Totem, described as "a fascinating journey into the evolution of mankind". We're pleased to announce that Cirque du Soleil has once again chosen to partner with Covenant House, donating tickets for fundraising purposes.
On October 4th, Covenant House Vancouver is participating in the Ride for Refuge, a non-competitive bicycling fundraiser. Covenant House is one of over 180 participating charities focused on helping the displaced, vulnerable and exploited. The Vancouver ride is located in Richmond (no hills!), but there are a number of ride locations to choose from. Info on our website.
