Writing Station Bingo : It's actually something that I send home with my kids. They color in a box (or have their parents initial) when an activity is completed. Once it's filled out, either 5-in-a-row or the entire paper, they turn it in. This gave me an idea for one of my favorite quotes: Take a picture of hands in family and hang under the quote: "Un homme est qu'il a fait, par ses mains voyons sa coeur." ( A man is what he has done, by his hands we see his heart.) -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
This "I'm done..." board is a great way to remind students of their choices once they have completed the current activity. By having this posted as a bulletin board or poster within the room, students would have a visual reminder of the acceptable options they have while awaiting transition to the next activity. This procedure would help maintain order as well as keep faster students busy.
