Ultra-Crispy Slow-Roasted Pork Shoulder....Made this on Sunday and it was delicious!! Next time I would make sure to score the skin and cook 9 hrs at 250 ( only half puffed up) I rubbed it with rotisserie rub before cooking it served it with NC style bbq sauce on french rolls it was delicious! Make sure to use a clean pan before turning up the oven to 500 and you won't have to remove batteries from your smoke detectors like I had to. =)
Seriously the BEST RUB for making pulled pork in the crock pot.~ I let the spice rubbed pork sit in the fridge over night. I didn't put the pork back in the crockpot with the bbq sauce, instead, I put the pulled pork on toasted buns and stuck under broiler for about 45 seconds, took out of oven and added BBQ sauce and Slaw on top. Yummy! I will need to halve the rub recipe next time.
