Recycling Candles. Apparently this works so well scentsy is upset about the post! great tut.. I'm posting it in case scentsy makes them take it down! If you have a scentsy warmer, melt down your old candles, pour them into ice cube trays, freeze for 20 minutes then pop them out and store them away in bags and use in your scentsy (or any other warmer). No wasted candles and in this economy, every little bit helps!
Make your own "wax cubes (flowers)" for a lot cheaper than scentsy. Candle warmer from Walmart, downy unstoppables and ice tray from ikea. Fill tray, put in microwave for 3 minute stick in freezer to harden in minutes.
Bake marbles at 325-350 degrees for 20 minutes (for more cracking-look, bake at 500 degrees for 30 minutes). Remove and carefully drop into pan with ice and water. Glue end caps to finished marble (w/starter rings) to create bracelets, earrings, pendants, ornaments...(unique and great gift idea)
Remember this for cold/flu season ~ A simple trick for helping children (or even adults) sleep better when fighting congestion from a head cold... add one tablespoon of vapor rub and one tablespoon of water to your warmer and let the magic happen.
DIY Wax Melts! I am going to make these and hand them out as Christmas gifts for anyone that has a warmer! If they don't have one you can get them one pretty cheap at wal-mart, target, or other stores.
If you ever get stuck in a blackout without candles or a flashlight ... A regular sized crayon will easily burn for more than 15 minutes. The paraffin used in crayons is very flammable, but slow burning. Handy to know!
