Kokomo Detox Smoothie: * 1 banana * 1 cup of pineapple * 1 cup of coconut water (Vita Coco Pineapple flavor is recommended. Vita Coco is 100% pure and NOT from concentrate – you can taste the difference) * 2 cups of greens (baby kale, spinach, and red chard are all good options, or grab a mix of all three! Earthbound Farms makes an awesome “Power Greens” mix featuring all three.)
Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie 1 cup of chopped Kale 1/2 an apple (I play this by ear, depending on the size of the apple) 3/4 to 1 cup of blueberries (this is what gives it it’s beautiful color! I also use frozen, makes my drink colder) 1 banana 1/2 cup uncooked oats (I have been using regular oats [not the quick ones] but I’m sure the quick ones will work just as great) 1 cup unsweetened almond milk Optional: 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Kale-Apple Smoothie i just made this for the boys with large handful of kale--blended it with some apple juice to make sure kale was pureed completely, half cucumber, celery stalk, large chunk of frozen blueberries, tiny squeeze lemon juice, more apple juice, tad rice milk, about 4 ice cubes. so yummy! I forgot to add their rice protein powder..
Sweet Dream Smoothie....1/2 cup warm milk, 1/2 banana (room temp),1/4 tsp(dash)cinnamon,1/2 tsp vanilla extract,1 tsp maple syrup or honey......Combine milk, banana, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and maple syrup or honey in a blender and whirl until frothy and smooth. Drink before going to bed. ( I would use soy milk for myself and see if it's ok...)
