Masca Micilina. In the small village of Pocapaglia, among ravines and strongholds bristling with sharp ridges, in fact, lived a small woman, dark-faced, red hair, which was on the streets of the village gesticulating and uttering strange words, probably talking with evil spirits, and perhaps even with the devil himself. The citizens were convinced that all the calamities that hit the country had a single origin: the cursed witch Micilina.

Moon goddess. DIY canvas art inspiration

"I am small. I feel like no more than nothing at all, But when I lose sight of daylight, And my darkness falls. I'll be strong, And if not now it won't be long, From when I lose sight of daylight, And my hands are weak and my soul is tired. Oh, I'll give my love from the inside out...from the inside out..." - Sara Bareilles

"As the moon reaches her fullest, most creative phase, so do you. As she disappears into the deepest depths of her darkness, so do you. As she prepares to reach for new beginnings in her crescent phase, so do you. Her essence is always with thee, for you carry her beauty, her light, her darkness and her power within your womb." ~Roslyne Sophia Breillat (picture: Die Mondfee by Kaulbachs)
