While #LALALAND lulled in the middle, and I was starting to worry, the last 30mins is one of the most beautiful happy sad 30mins of cinema this year and it brings this movie back to the where it belongs, in my Top Films of 2016. It is the cinematic representation of a jazz song. Something LA LA LAND and WHIPLASH director Damien Chazelle thrives at. Marvellous on every level. Out Boxing Day in Australia from eOne Films. http://saltypopcorn.com.au/la-la-land/

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug's soundtrack is a beautiful and great soundtrack. However, isn't as good when compared to the soundtrack to An Unexpected Journey. The tracks "Kingsfoil, Thrice Welcome, Protector of the Common Folk, Barrels Out of Bond, Beyond the Forest, The Quest for Erebor, The Woodland Realm, and The Forest River are great." Also, why didn't Howard Shore use "Over The Misty Mountains" this time?
