STARBURST MIRROR DIY - Starburst mirrors are so chic in metallics and I'm really loving gold accents lately. I wanted to create something for our bedroom that replaced an old art piece that wasn't really working and that also added more light to a dark corner in that space.
Materials Needed: mirror with flat frame edge 150 pieces branches or twigs glue sticks glue gun painter’s tape yardstick hacksaw or other saw sandpaper sheet of paper spray primer spray paint hanging hardware
I did this to my plain ole ugly white cheap shade in my bedroom... I put the whole chapter of 1 Corinthians 13, from the Bible... its the "Love" chapter.... its SO cute.... only filled up half of my shade though, so I think I willl find a chapter from the Book of Songs, the Song of Solomon... more LOVE stuff... :-)
omg love this idea!! but would want to use something more stable then poster board! This cheap material is folded to add dimension to the mirror, and it works very well to add interest to the mirror. Project Estimate: ■Round mirror, $1 ■4 sheets of poster board, 2 for $1 ■Hot glue and glue sticks, on hand ■Scissors, on hand Total: $3 and up

Paint Stick Sunburst Mirror.... I made one and sprayed painted in black. It is almost a free project... I think I spend $4 in the mirror and $2 on the wood base... Total cost =$6... Impact=Priceless.. By the way, instead of stealing the sticks from the department store... I asked for them and they were very happy to give them to me. Just ask!
