Dorothy Draper was an interior decorator born in Tuxedo Park, New York in 1889. She was born to a wealthy family and lived a very glamorous lifestyle in high society, frequently traveling to Europe and dining with the Roosevelts. She began her interior design career in 1925 by starting "The Archetectural Clearing House" from her home, and her career then flourished from there.
