Used the book "No David" to practice making inferences (good guesses) about what was happening. Before reading, looked at each picture, wrote down a guess and added a blurb about the picture clue they used to make it.
This lesson accompanies the book, "No David" by David Shannon. I read this book on the first day of school to my younger preschool students. Afterwards we discuss rules that we should have in our classroom. Then each student colors a picture of David and the teacher writes a classroom rule on David's shirt.
