A template for writing a "thankful" poem with your kids. We do this all the time (who knew contact paper would lift so easily off of watercolor paper?!). Beautiful for birthday messages. Great Birthday Party activity (we wrote each child's name in glitter in the white area; quick, and huge hit with the 4 year old crowd!). This bulletin board is good for a fall theme and thanksgiving. On the top it will say Don't be a turkey be thankful. the turkey has feathers made out of ties. the children will get a pumpkin and they will write something they are thankful for. this is very creative and children will learn about thanksgiving.
I make hand birds all year long, but I always forget the poem! This isn't just a turkey as you can plainly see. I made it with my hands which are a part of me. It comes with lots of love especially to say, I hope you have a very, Happy Thanksgiving Day!
Would be cute just for a "fall" hallway display - have the kiddos paint the trunk of the tree, then trace hands with colored paper or have them make the leaves with handprints in colored paint.
