      The food coloring in water experiment could be used to teach kids about gardening, nutrition, why how things are grown matters (plants eat too... what are you feeding them), and why what you eat matters (you absorb things too).

      good for showing water moving through plants: 1. Take Celery or Napa Cabbage (largest you can find) and slice a stalk halfway up the middle. 2. Place two clear containers close together. Add a few drops of food coloring in two different colors to the jars. 3. Add water to the jars to fill to about 1.5 inches deep. 4. Wait about 8 hours and observe the difference!

    Tornado in a Bottle: I think it’d be fun to also experiment with different sizes of bottles to see which make the best tornadoes! You could also try adding some food coloring, glitter, grass, or little objects like Monopoly houses to the water/soap mix for some additional experimentation! Okay, so there you have it, a really fun science toy! :)
