Many prehistoric findings have been done around Castelo de Vide, Montemor-o-Nove, Évora, and Monsaraz, such as menhirs and dolmen Portugal. These megalithic tombs have been placed between 4000 and 2000 B.C.. The so-called dolmen Portugal consists of several upright stones with horizontal capstones. They were used as collective graves and, apart from bodies, people also buried art objects, weapons, and tools here.

Full moon with a light halo, field of stars in the almost clear night sky behind the standing stones within Portugal's mountain range of Castelo de Vide and Marvao. Research by DdO:) - http://www.pinterest.com/DianaDeeOsborne/sky-lights/ - A DOLMEN is a megalithic TOMB with a large flat stone laid on upright ones, found chiefly in Britain and France. Stonehenge like. For tourists, this one is lit with red and blue lights at night sometimes. Path of artificial light along grasses.

Passage of Time © Gary McParland I did 12 x 5 min exposures and only 7 were ok as the lens fogged over and i didn't realize till i was finished. I blended them using a stacking action in PS and merged the finished file with a separate exposure where i had done some light painting on the dolmen using my torch.

One of my Beloved and mine favorite places on the earth.... Near Snowdonia it is Betwsy-Coed, Wales. Pronounced beh-tizzy-KOID

One of my favorite places I traveled to in my late 20's was to a small castle ruin in Wales. It was a quiet place & I got headphones with narration to walk thru while listening to stories of the battles, day-day lives of the great old warriors of Wales. Great memory!
