grilled banana dessert! I had these once when I was a kid at a Girl Scout camp trip. Have never forgotten them and am sooo excited to have a 'recipe'.

Grilled Banana Boats - Lay banana on its side on top of foil, gently slice through skin and banana making sure to not cut through to the other side. Tuck in your fixings (candy bars, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, caramels, coconut, chopped nuts, peanut butter, marshmallows). Place them on medium-hot grill over indirect heat or in 350 degree oven. Cook until soft and skins are black, about 10 minutes on grill or 30-40 minutes in oven. Top with cool whip or vanilla ice cream.

We did this in Girl Scouts; Banana Boats: Camping food 1. Slit the bananas lengthwise. 2. Stuff them with toppings 3. Wrap the bananas in foil and place on the grill. Grill with the cover on until toppings get melty and delicious. 4. Eat with a spoon. (Insanely good over ice cream).
