"Mind jar aka calm down jar"-shake the jar and the child has to watch it until the glitter settles. Great idea for calming down the hyper kids! Or an alternative to using "time out". I know I can use this for myself to free my mind from chaos/rush of real life when needed.

AMAZING!!! Time out jar! Fill a jar with glitter and water and when a kid gets upset, tell them to shake the calm jar and stay seated until all the glitter settles at the bottom. Great idea!

a 'calm down jar' - shake the jar and the person has to watch the jar until the glitter settles. Id be pissed if my mom made me watch glitter but I def. Know some kids who could use a glitter jar.

A 'calm down jar' - shake the jar and the child has to watch the jar until the glitter settles. great alternative to using 'time out' as calm down time. GREAT idea - gives them something to focus on. I'd use plastic though because glass + my kids = disaster.
