Toasted Ravioli with Marinara Sauce If you’re lazy, but still like the allure of home-cooked Italian food—plus the illusion of a dish that could rival one found at a 4 star restaurant, then today’s recipe is for you. If you follow my recipes, you obviously know I’m a straight up Guido. While I don’t sport a “shirt before the shirt”, I love my heritage and the incredible food that comes from it. Try this half-homemade recipe for an appetizer at a party, or pair it with some bread and wine for a great lunch!What you need:2 tablespoons whole milk1 egg3/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs1/2 teaspoon garlic powder1/4 teaspoon dried oregano1/4 teaspoon dried basil1/4 teaspoon dried thymesalt & pepper to taste1/2 (25 ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli, thawed2 cups vegetable oil for frying1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheeseMarinara sauce for dipping How you make it:-Combine milk and egg in a small bowl. Combine breadcrumbs and seasonings in a shallow bowl. Dip ravioli in milk mixture, and coat with breadcrumbs. -In a large saucepan, heat marinara sauce over medium heat until bubbling. Reduce the heat to simmer. -In a large heavy pan, pour oil to depth of 2 inches. Heat oil over medium heat until a small amount of breading sizzles and turns brown. Marinara Sauce recipe adapted from AllRecipes 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste 4 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley 1 clove garlic, minced 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 6 tablespoons olive oil 1/3 cup finely diced onion 1/2 cup white wine In a food processor place Italian tomatoes, tomato paste, chopped parsley, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth. In a large skillet over medium heat saute the finely chopped onion in olive oil for 2 minutes. Add the blended tomato sauce and white wine. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Leftovers are great to use over pasta and can also be frozen.

Mediterranean Crescent Pinwheels ~ INGREDIENTS 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® Crescent Recipe Creations® refrigerated seamless dough sheet 1/2 lb prosciutto or cooked ham, thinly sliced 1 cup crumbled feta cheese (4 oz) 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 tablespoon CRISCO® 100% Extra Virgin Olive or Pure Vegetable Oil 6 tablespoons chopped fresh basil ~ 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Spray cookie sheets with CRISCO® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray. Separate or cut dough into 4 rectangles; place on lightly floured surface. If using crescent rolls, firmly press perforations to seal. Press or roll each to form 8x5-inch rectangle. 2 Arrange 1/4 of prosciutto slices evenly over each rectangle. In small bowl, mix cheese, pepper and oil. Sprinkle mixture evenly over prosciutto on each rectangle. Sprinkle with basil. 3 Starting at short side of each rectangle, roll up; seal long edges. With serrated knife, cut each roll into 5 slices. Place, cut side up, on cookie sheets. 4 Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheets. Serve warm.

Chang's Mongolian Beef Copycat Recipe: (Recipe adapted from Food.com) 2 teaspoons vegetable oil ½ teaspoon ginger, minced 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped ½ cup soy sauce ½ cup water ¾ cup dark brown sugar vegetable oil , for frying (about 1 cup) 1 lb flank steak ¼ cup cornstarch 2 large green onions, chopped Directions: Sauce: Heat 2 tsp. of vegetable oil in a medium saucepan over medium/low heat. Don't get the oil too hot. Add ginger and garlic to the pan and quickly add the soy sauce and water before the garlic scorches. Dissolve the brown sugar in the sauce, then increase the heat to medium and boil the sauce for 2-3 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Remove it from the heat. Beef: Slice the flank steak against the grain into 1/4" thick bite-size slices. Tilt the blade of your knife at about a forty five degree angle to the top of the steak so that you get wider cuts. Dip the steak pieces into the cornstarch to apply a very thin dusting to both sides of each piece of beef. Let the beef sit for about 10 minutes so that the cornstarch sticks. As the beef sits, heat up one cup of oil in a wok (you may also use a skillet for this step as long as the beef will be mostly covered with oil). Heat the oil over medium heat until it's nice and hot, but not smoking. Add the beef to the oil and sauté until brown. Stir the meat around a little so that it cooks evenly. After a couple minutes, use a large slotted spoon to take the meat out and onto paper towels. Dab excess oil off meat with a paper towel and add to medium saucepan with the sauce in it. Put the pan back on the oven over medium/low heat. Add chopped green onions and let sauce simmer until warm. Serve over rice.

Spray 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. 2) Cut chicken into strips and cook over med/high heat until chicken turns white. 3) In a large bowl mix hash browns, ranch dressing, 1 cup of cheese, and soup and spoon into baki
Buffalo Chicken Casserole Ingredients: 1 1/2 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts cut in 1" strips 1/3 cup Frank's Hot Sauce 5 cups potatoes, grated (can also use frozen or refrigerated hash browns that have been thawed ~ or shred the potatoes yourself) 1 cup light ranch dressing 1/2 cup cheddar cheese 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup 1/2 cup panko or breadcrumbs (I substituted with French's Onions ~ they were all we had on hand!) Directions Heat oven to 350 and grease 13x9 inch dish with cooking spray. Grate potatoes, or defrost frozen hashbrowns. Pat with paper towel to get rid of some of the moisture. Mix together chicken strips and buffalo sauce. Layer in bottom of baking dish. Mix together potatoes, dressing, cheese and soup. Pour over chicken. Sprinkle bread crumbs over the top of the casserole. (If using French's Onions, wait and add these during the last ten minutes of baking.) Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 20-25 minutes longer, until potatoes are tender and chicken is cooked.

Spray 13x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. In medium bowl, stir together chicken strips and buffalo sauce. Spoon into baking dish in a single layer. In the same bowl, stir together potatoes, dressing, cheese and soup. Spread over chicken. Sprinkle panko evenly over the top. Cover with foil. Bake 30 minutes; uncover and bake 20 to 25 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender and juice of chicken is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut.

Caramel Cheesecake Apple Dip (3 Ingredient 3 Minute Recipe Ingredients 2 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, chilled 1 cup caramel ice cream topping, chilled (I used Hershey's in the glass jar) 1 store bought graham cracker pie crust, crumbled Directions Place cream cheese in a mixing bowl and using an electric mixer, whip cream cheese until smooth and fluffy for about 1 minute. Stir in caramel ice cream topping. Break graham cracker pie crust into pieces and place pieces in a ziploc bag, then seal bag and using a rolling pin crush graham cracker crust pieces until finely broken (there should no longer be chunks). Serve with apple slices. Dip apple slices into caramel cheesecake dip then into broken graham cracker crust. Store cheesecake dip in refrigerator up to one week. Note: this dip is also delicious with a bit of cinnamon (about 1/4 tsp) and a few dashes of nutmeg mixed in. Recipe Source: Cooking Classy

5 lb russett potatoes, 10 slices of bacon, 8 oz cream cheese, 0.5 c unsalted butter melted,0.25 c chives minced, 2.5 c cheddar cheese grated, 2 t salt: Transfer to 3 quart baking dish and bake on 350 for 30 mins.

Loaded mashed potatoes. 5 lb russet potatoes, 10 sli bacon, 8 oz cr cheese, rm temp, ½ C unsalted butter, melted, 1 C sour cream, ¼ C minced chives, 2 ½ C grated cheddar, Salt/pepper. Cook/mash potatoes. Crisp-cook bacon, crumble. Add cr cheese, butter, sour cream, chives, 2 cups cheddar cheese, half bacon, salt, pepper. Stir. Buttered dish, top w/ cheese/bacon, melt cheese.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel potatoes, and cut into 1-inch chunks. Place in a large saucepan, and add enough cold water to cover by about 2 inches. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, and reduce to a simmer. Cook until tender and easily pierced with a paring knife, about 20 minutes. Transfer to a colander to drain; return to pan, cover, and set aside. 2. Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add bacon, and cook until crisp and browned, turning once. Transfer to paper towels to drain; let cool, and crumble into pieces. 3. Using a fork, mash the potatoes in pan until light and fluffy. Add the cream cheese, butter, and sour cream, and stir until combined and smooth. Add the chives, 2 cups cheddar cheese, half the bacon, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined. 4. Transfer to a buttered 3-quart baking dish. Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese. Bake until top is slightly golden and potatoes are heated through, about 30 minutes.
