5 min DIY Laundry Soap: Grate two bars of Fels Naptha, then run the blade in your food processor that turns it into "powder."  It won't be quite as fine as real powdered soap, but very close.  Then add two cups of Borax and two cups of washing soda.  It only take TWO TEASPOONS to do a large load.  I have a soup spoon that holds two teaspoons that I use to measure. -- The hardest part is thinking that two teaspoons will do the job, but it does!

#9 does not work all that well. Doesn't wash out of clothes completly. I have talkedto many others who have tried it and they found it to be the dame for them. Going to try the liquid ones, heard great things about those.

DIY laundry soap made with oxy-clean. She got a 4 gal. glass jar at walmart, used chalk paint for label. Ok for HE machines. Use vinegar as softener.

I like this idea... but I have found that castle soap works a lot better than fels or zotes

DIY Laundry Soap! I also love the jar because it is at angle to put on the shelf above my washer...

Can't believe how much money I wasted on laundry detergent! I feel like our clothes are so much cleaner with this stuff too. We have a HE washer and it works great since there are hardly any suds.
