Rainbow Salt Tray

Rainbow Salt Tray - Great for fine motor development and pre-writing skills. Practise writing numbers, alphabet letters, sight words, shapes, child's name, making patterns, drawing and so much more. Shake the tray and start again - loads of fun!! {learning4kids.net}

Place upper and lowercase letters in a tub of water and ice. Provide extra lowercase vowels and common consonants like "s" and "m". You can write the letters on plastic caps like in this photo or use something you already have that's waterproof. Provide a chart or cards of children's names. Kids fish out the letters to make their names and the names of friends!

Alphabet Squish

Alphabet Squish. I love this idea! Sensory activity that can be used not only for letter recognition but making the sound of the letter as they squish it. Another awesome idea from Jenae at I Can Teach My Child.
