My reward system that saved me! :) Each child has their own clothespin and they all start the day at 'Ready to go'. They are moved up or down according to behavior. Anything 'Ready to go' and above earns a ball. If they end up at the top on outstanding, they not only receive a ball for the day, but they get to choose something from the prize box. 'Slow down' means no ball is earned, and 'Lose a ball' means just that. If they end the day at the bottom on the :( they not only get a ball taken…
Time-out bottles. Fill a bottle with 3/4 water, one bottle of glitter glue, ultra fine glitter. Then send this bottle with the child to timeout and they can watch it settle to calm them. Once the glitter is settled their time is up.
neat rewards system...31 quarters in the jar at the beginning of the month, every day that they do not do their chores, they lose a quarter. Whatever is left at the end of the month they exchange for cash and the quarter jar is refilled. Spending a quarter for my child to do their chores would be a bargain!! :)
You can order a box of books from this site for $12.99. They will range from toddler to young adult books. Each box contains approximately 150 books (give or take). You can also order more age/grade specific books, but it costs a bit more. There is now an advisory on their site that due to high demand, boxes may not ship for up to 5 weeks, but for $12.99, that's a small price to pay :)
