Turn A Spice Rack Into Book Storage and Decorate It

A few months ago we showed off an inexpensive source for front-facing bookshelves. It's a smart repurposing of an IKEA item, but maybe too plain for your taste. This mom took the style up a notch and there's not even a drop of paint involved. So what did she use?

I love this idea- making windows with washi tape to liven up a blank wall. Plus you could draw pictures or maybe even cute out magazine pictures of space or like a fairy land or something and tape them down in the process.
