Gilded, painted, & carved wood ladies shoes, Italian, Dutch, or French, late 17th c. Painted with tulips & roses, lace-like piercings for threading ribbons, interiors painted with faux ermine flecks, crimson painted soles & gilded curved heels. Yes, I know, another pair that's earlier than 18th c., but how can I resist shoes that are this insanely gorgeous/gorgeously insane?
