A welcome reappearance: Superintendent Richard Jury of Scotland Yard

Martha Grimes - The Inspector Richard Jury series. There is genuine humour in these stories. Martha is an American writer, but the setting for these books is England. The great thing she does is introduce children into the stories and Richard Jury has a wonderful, tender way of showing love to the children, who in turn play a role in solving the mystery. Delightful comes to mind, but is not big enough to describe the joy you feel reading these.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie - I had the chance to speak with her at the Decatur Book Festival. She is amazing.
