Not a fan of the sad face...but could easily swap the faces for something more like our report card descriptors.

Wow, I needed this this year! I had 2 or 3 that would not capitalize or add punctuation or even try to spell correctly this year, much less put their name on their paper.

this is a great writing sample for 2nd grade- how awesome would it be to make books of sample writing for common core for narrative, informational, and opinion. This is what a 4 looks like, a 3, a 2, and a 1.
