Frost Flowers: these are amazing! A frost flower is created on autumn or early winter mornings when ice in extremely thin layers is pushed out from the stems of plants or occasionally wood. This extrusion creates wonderful patterns which curl and fold into gorgeous frozen petioles giving this phenomenon both its name and its appearance.
Scandinavian winters are long and cold, with lots of snow, and very short hours of daylight. Time to sit around the fire, drink mead, and listen to the ancient stories of the Skald. Whilst outside eerie silence rules, just occasionally disrupted by our howling wolf brothers and sisters.
