paper chef hat. Great idea for kid's day in the kitchen. Make hats and paper menus the day before. Let kids help prepare the meal. Let them set the table and be servers. Don't forget to compliment the meal!

This is a sensory wall I created in my infant/young toddler classroom. I wrapped pieces of cardboard in a variety of textures. The ones I used were felt, tin foil, contact paper, bubble wrap, burlap, and the plastic they wrap couches in. I simply taped the material to the cardboard with masking tape and then taped them to the wall. It is a great way for the infants to experience textures.

Children will love to help the chick hatch from the egg with this simple chick hatching activity and craft (our inspitation for this craft came from here). Use the craftivity to talk about how the chick grows inside the egg.
