Street Art installation by Columbian Doris Salcedo in the streets of Istanbul. 1,550 wooden chairs piled high between two buildingsl. breathless
amazing. Artist Doris Salcedo filled the empty space between two buildings in Istanbul with 1,550 wooden chairs stacked seemingly haphazardly, but with a message that was more carefully constructed. Salcedo said the 1,550 chairs evoke "the masses of faceless migrants who underpin our globalized economy." Sit on that.

this picture was very interesting due to the fact that it is an old church split in half. It made me wonder if it was designed like that or if that was a later renovation.

Makes me happy b/c it's a modern art installation that is without pompousness or snobbery. It's just fun.
Daniel Firman :: Paris-based artist, Daniel Firman is known for his realistic and bold sculptures that quite frequently challenge his audience's interpretive skills. Over the past ten years, Firman's work has been shown all over the world and is a household name for those who frequent the Galerie Perrotins in Paris. Kids would like this, create paintings of unlikely animals or perhaps some wire framed sculptural pieces

Love this sculpture. It totally works in this room, but it would look startling in a white room too.

There's a few examples of this guys work - I think it could be really effective at loco... Sew together a network of old nylons and fill with sand. Or just cut the legs off the nylons , fill with sand and tie individually to trees. You could even tie-dye the tights, or dip dye the ends, or once filled, spray with adhesive then dip in glitter!

Draft by fiddle oak who explains that his process involves capturing the background first without any people in it — often it’s a collage of pictures or panorama. Then, he’ll go out to a location with similar lighting and take photos of people (usually himself) in various poses. Next, he takes both photos into Photoshop and manipulates them by adding shadows and correcting color so that it all matches. #Photography #Little_Folk
