The cabinet was pretty beat up, so I primed it first, and then applied several layers of glossy charcoal gray latex paint. The fabric is adhered securely around each drawer, and while the drawers DO close all the way, I liked the added dimension of having them popped out a bit. Great idea for turning a bland file cabinet into a useful and eye-catching part of your decor! DIY using primer/spray paint combo by Krylon and sanding first. Lines were hand drawn with a paint marker. I would make my lines a little cleaner and use an acrylic paint for easy "oops" cleanup! The lines are a must however, without the pin striping this would look like a big, blue monstrosity!
Chalkboard Painted Filing Cabinet... Never seen this before but I have a pair in my classroom that I hate, and there's nothing important in there. Interesting!
