This reminds me of my grandma's kitchen. She always had poodles though. She had a brick wall behind the stove, black and white tile on the countertops with a wood butcher top on a tiny island. (photo is by Knitty, Vintage and Rosy)
The kitchen at the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm is a fascinating place. Not only does it contain everything you would expect to find in a 1915 farmhouse kitchen, but you will also find the stove lit and something cooking. There will also be fresh produce on the table and likely some cheese being made.
