Violet Jessop was an ocean liner stewardess and nurse. She was aboard the RSM Olympic when it collided with another vessel in 1911. She survived the disastrous sinking of sister ship RMS Titanic in 1912. Then she survived the wartime sinking of the third sister ship, HMHS Britannic, in 1916.

She was a stewardess aboard the Titanic when it hit the iceberg. The Britannic was made into a hospital ship for WWI. Violet became a nurse & was working aboard when an explosion sank the ship. Violet continued to work for shipping lines until she retired in 1950. She died in 1971 of heart failure
