DIY Vintage Wood Stain: Mason jar: 1/4 cup used grounds, fill it up almost to the top with vinegar, approx 3-4 cups of vinegar to 1/4 cup grounds. It is the interaction between the steel wool and vinegar that is really important, grounds just add a brown tinge. Can use tea (strong), white vinegar goes brown, apple cider grey-ish, balsamic greenish. Search "ebonizing wood" steel wool & vinegar
