I grew up sitting in the floor in front of this exact stereo system with big black headphones on singing my heart out! Loved it! Heard Rhinestone Cowboy many times on the record player!
This would have been an enviable stereo system in the 80's! It had everything---- record player, 8 track player, fm stereo and cassette player!
Good old stereo system would have a record player, dual cassette player and a CD player... The music was MUCH better in those days too!
Stereo Systems -- you needed ALL of this, so this is what you had. Our kids have tiny iPods instead. Never could have imagined that!

"Votes for women" The 19th amendment to the constitution, guaranteeing American women the right to vote, was finally ratified in 1920. Before the ratification of the 19th amendment women were struggling to keep their voice in society and were gradually gaining their own foothold in being able to become more independent and make decisions for themselves.
Susan B. Anthony was a suffragist. She fought for the right to vote for women and she was one of the leaders in the Women’s Rights Movement. She was born February 15, 1820 in Adams, Massachusetts. For most of her life she fought for things such as women’s rights and the end of slavery.
Did You Know A Woman’s Right To Vote Was Sparked By Two Brave Women On July 4, 1876? Now we just need equality in representation!
"Votes for women" The 19th amendment to the constitution, guaranteeing American women the right to vote, was finally ratified in 1920 due to the hard work of many women.

Hiphugger bellbottoms! We all wore them! I'm still waiting for bell bottoms to come back. They make the hips appear more narrow.
Art Sunset Strip, 1960s; sure remember these bellbottoms; check out the Byrds playing on the marquee

To protect Winston Churchill in wartime a special one-man pressure chamber was built for the personal plane which carried him many times across the Atlantic and to Casablanca, Moscow and Yalta. Churchill was warned by his doctors that it was dangerous for a man of his age and physical condition to fly above 8,000 feet.
