How to make Cricut Cutting mats sticky again - by Sami. Cover the edges of the mat, then spray it (outdoors) with Krylon Easy-Tack. Spray lightly. Let it dry. The adhesive actually needs to dry before it becomes sticky. Dry to touch in 3 hours so says Krylon Easy-Tack is acid free, low odor.

ZIG glue sticks, jumbo tip, are so much better. I highly recommend them for this usage. Same principle, letting them dry so they are sticky, but the glue is acid free.

Krylon Easy-Tack is acid free also. Zig 2-way glue works too. Whichever product you choose, be sure to apply it only to the grid-marked area of the mat, NOT to the edges.

Do you feel like your cricut mats loose their "stick" rather quickly? Here is a quick and inexpensive way to "re-stick" them! You will need a repositionable spray adhesive, I used Krylon. DO NOT use permanent! Tape, my favorite is FROG tape, and a scraper.
