"The Breakfast Club". I'm not sure what it is with these 1980'es movies and their cult-like status - John Hughes, The Brat Pack and so on. But I do know that it just doesn't cut it for me. I find most of the stories and scenes either bizarre, strange, boring or all of the above. And the way they talk! Did it really sound like that at the time? I feel like these movies have hidden motives and deeper meanings that I'm supposed to find fascinating. But I regret to say that is not the case. <3 <3

The Breakfast Club (1985) They were five students with nothing in common, faced with spending a Saturday detention together in their high school library. At 7 a.m., they had nothing to say, but by 4 p.m., they had bared their souls to each other and become good friends. The Breakfast Club: then and now… Definitely one of my favorite movies ♥

Movie You Know the Most Quotes from: The Breakfast Club... "You see us as you want to see us: In the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain... and an athlete... and a basket case... a princess... and a criminal... Sincerly yours, the Breakfast Club."

I want John Cusack holding a boombox outside my window. I want to ride off on a lawnmower with Patrick Dempsey. I want Jake from Sixteen Candles waiting outside the church for me. I want Judd Nelson thrusting his fist into the air because he knows he got me. Just ONCE I want my life to be like an 80's movie. But no... No, John Cusack didn't direct my life."

The Breakfast Club - one of my all time favorites

Each one of us is a brain...and an athlete... and a basket case...a princess...and a criminal. Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club.
