Mosquito repellant Listerine (the amber color) works great to keep skeeters away from your yard. Spray it on the grass, in the bushes, around doors, on lawn chairs and patio. let it sit for a half hour and no skeeters. We have been using this for two years now and I am still amazed at how well it works. The smell doesn't last, but lack of skeeters does. For us it worked for almost two days.

Lemon Grass repels mosquitoes | the strong citrus odor drives mosquitoes away--very functional patio plant.

Beautiful idea but $32 on etsy + $10 s/h. I know that I can make this for about 2-3 bucks with a piece of barn wood, leftover kids blocks and some hooks. I don't care that much for the black blocks think that I would distress them in their natural colors

This DIY Linen Spray is simple and cheap to make, but feels and smells so luxurious on your sheets.

Flies and summer seem to go hand-in-hand. You just can’t have one without the other. Although there are many different sprays on the market to get rid of flies, not everyone wants chemicals sprayed around their homes.

Homemade Mosquito Repellent - just 3 ingredients! Easy to make and smells great! 10 - 15 drops Lavender oil, 4 tsp. Lemon Juice, and 3 tsp. vanilla extract. (can add 10 - 15 drops citronella oil or tea tree oil also) put in spray bottle and fill the rest of the way with water.

Pinner says: Swarms of Mosquitoes on my patio led me to an old home remedy - Did you know that chopped up garlic makes mosquitoes disappear? I buy minced, dried garlic at local Fiesta grocery stores and sprinkle it around on my patio. I have to stand back as I am using it - mosquitoes will literally swarm out of your plants and bushes to get away from the smell. Works like a charm!!

Soak orange peels in vinegar for two weeks in a sealed mason jar then pour the vinegar into a spray bottle. Use as a non-toxic and yummy smelling "green" cleaner. I love using vinegar to clean with but have always wondered how to make it smell better - can't wait to do this!

creamy baby oil = no bites. And you won't smell like bug repellent?! Yes!
