Used these this year. These are the best- most clearly stated class rules I've ever had. We added "Be safe." to the bottom of it. "Let others learn." has solved a lot of other mini issues that always come up. Cassandra Butler, this is EXACTLY what doris did ..only she used points instead of stars (however, if they earned ALL their points for the day she did say they got "All Stars." I kind of like stars better, it keeps a visible reminder!
I made up something like this last year for summer school. I'd say, "Give me 5." Kids would have to raise their little paws, give me their 2 eyes, 2 ears, and one closed mouth to show me they were being respectful, good listeners and ready to learn. It was effective at getting their attention.
