The beautiful Rivers of Montana. This is the Bitteroot River which runs from Darby (such a cute little western town) to Missoula, and is along the Lewis & Clark Trail. The headwaters of this river in my valley are where Lewis and Clark "lost the trail to the Pacific" because the water started running the "other" way at the convergence of the Continental Divide.
Catch a trophy fish! The Missoula Area was know to Indians as "Nemissodatakoo," a Flathead Indian term meaning "by or near the cold chilling waters." Nearby is the beautiful Blue Mountain Bed and Breakfast.
