Four Early Grodnertal Wooden Dolls in Original Costumes. 8" largest. Each is carved wooden doll with painted black hair with stippled details around the face, yellow "tuck comb" at crown, painted facial features, articulated dowel-jointed shoulders, elbows, hips & knees, painted flat shoes. Condition: very good,each with well-preserved original finish albeit some typical rubs and few chips in hair and combs. Circa 1840.
