Knitters make sweaters for Penguins after Oil Spill - Pets & Animals - TODAY.com
Oh how I wish I could knit. From the article, "A yarn store in New Zealand is making an unusual request that is pulling at the heart-strings of the world—they are asking people to sew knit sweaters for penguins affected by the country’s oil spill. The “penguin jumpers” are intended to keep the birds warm until they are well enough to be scrubbed down and to prevent them from consuming oil on their feathers while preening. The yarn store is called Skeinz and is located in Napier, New Zealand. They posted the request along with instructions and patterns on their website and have already received a “deluge” of jumpers. “It’s really precious and overwhelming,” the store posted on its blog along with photos of piles of penguin sweaters. Specifications and instructions for the penguin PJ’s can be found on the Skeinz website as well as the address where penguin-loving knitters can send them."

Cute Penguins in Sweaters - New Zealand
I've never seen a happier #penguin in my life.
He was born hairless and with love and care from the vets on staff he grew strong and produced feathers!
Look, I don't ask for much. Just give me cute baby animals on a regular basis, and I'll probably die of happiness.
Pingüinos. Reproducción: Son aves ovíparas, es decir que su reproducción es pura y exclusivamente a través de huevos, que son luego incubados por la madre hasta el momento en que eclosionan
One thing I want to do before I die is hold a baby penguin. They are so cute and squishy and...awwww.
The worst thing about being a penguin.... (look at his angry little penguin face.)
