Glitter nail polish may be also be thicker than you are used to, this is because of the high amount of glitter in the base. If this bothers you you can add a little nail polish thinner. Please shake your bottle well before using, in each bottle you will find 2 stainless steel mixing balls which will make it easier to mix the ingredients. ♥ Tips & Tricks The nail polishes of Let it glitter! are packed with glitter. That makes us very happy of course, but sometimes this can be tricky too. Here I give you some tips to get the best out of your nail polish: 1. Always, always, always use a good topcoat over your glitter polish. This is my holy grail and I recommend everyone to do likewise. You manicure will be smooth and shiny, glitter is a little rough on the nails without a topcoat. This way you can feel them on your nails and this might irritate you. But your nail polish will also last much longer by using a topcoat. My favorites are: Essence - better then gel nails and INM out the door - super fast drying top coat. Sally Hansen also seems to have a very good one, this one is called Insta dry but I have not tried it yet. 2. For the easiest (and most beautiful) result use a color under the glitter nail polish. This is the easiest because you it will be much easier to remove the glitter polish. 3. For the best results it is best to kind of dab the glitter on your nails. Glitter nail polish is a little thicker than regular polish and dabbing will help you to place the glitter exactly where you want them on the nails. 4. For removal of the glitter nail polish you can use remover and cotton balls, but it often takes a long time and can even be painful. Therefore, you can also use cotton balls soaked in remover and then place it on your nail, wrap aluminum foil around your nail and the cotton ball and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then you can remove your nail polish much easier. 5. Or to remove the polish you can also use a jar filled with remover and rubber spines (no sponge, the glitter will ruin it), These are often used to remove fake nails but also work fine for glitter. You can buy these jars in drugstores.
