The Universe - Remember the size of Earth, compared to the sun?
Sun compared to Earth - the size of things- astronomy
The Sun has far more mass than everything else in the solar system put together, in fact it is 99.86% of it. In the image above solar prominences visible along its limb explode into space many times the height of the Earth. A typical sunspot usually visible on most days on the Sun (with only the right equipment and know how), could easily dwarf Earth.
26 Pictures Will Make You Reevaluate Your Entire Existence 14. Let’s step back a bit. Here’s the size of Earth compared to the size of our sun. Terrifying, right?
The Sun has far more mass than everything else in the solar system put together, in fact it is 99.86% of it. Which means that us and the other planets and moons are really just the left over rubble from the formation of the Sun 4.5 billion years ago

Mervyn O’Gorman (1871-1958), one of the greatest British engineers was also known as an early pioneer of color photography. Many of his images are included in exhibitions referencing early color photography, including this dreamlike series of his daughter Christina (from Lulworth Cove, Dorset) using the Autochrome process in 1913. The Autochrome process, patented in 1903, was the first fully practical single-plate color process that was accessible to the public.

“A three second exposure meant that subjects had to stand very still to avoid being blurred, and holding a smile for that period was tricky. As a result, we have a tendency to see our Victorian ancestors as even more formal and stern than they might have been.”

"Scientists at Florida State University have been commissioned by a business called Bevshots to produce a number of high-resolution images of popular alcoholic beverages. The chemists took droplets of each of the drinks and dried them over the course of months onto glass slides. The slides were then photographed onto 35mm film through a microscope. "

Lahaina Maui: Sand grains from Maui, Hawaii. Gary Greenberg photographs the world, one grain of sand at a time, in A Grain of Sand: Nature's Secret Wonder #beach #photography
Sand grains from Maui, Hawaii. These were the first grains of sand that I examined through the microscope. I was amazed by the array of spectacular bits and pieces. The "Y" shaped glassy structure at the top is a sponge spicule, which functions as the internal skeleton of most sponges. Just to the left and down are two perfectly formed microscopic shells. Just to the right and down from the sponge spicule is a bit of brown sea urchin spine, with its intricate structural design
"Magnifying sand 250 times through a specialised microscope, we can see its true beauty. Grains are made up of crystals, shell fragments and volcanic rock – many of them in vivid colours and intricate, fantastic shapes." Image by Dr Gary Greenberg, Minnesota.
This is what sand looks like when magnified 100 to 300 times. this article shows how the artist worked on these photos and how aspects of science can align with abilities of camera/ photography align!!!! :)
