I made this for my husband's birthday - it was AMAZING! i used regular soft ladyfingers, skipped the syrup step (everything was already quite sweet) and used vanilla instead of almond extract bc that's what i had. everything else followed to a T. light, sweet, tart, gorgeous, delicious...!
