Running trains me to be a stronger person. Running trains me to refuse to allow my environment to determine my actions. I have never breathed so hard, felt so strong, or faced such challenge as when I am running. Running trains me to keep going, always.

If you run, you're a runner. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

I always feel like such a dork around people I assume are more "serious" runners than I am. You are what you are, though.

This is so beautiful! Can't tell you how many times I've thought this very thing while running. I think about my Mom dying so young, I think of people whose legs don't work. And I run harder!

just keep breathing: someone on the half marathon course this weekend held a sign that read “there will be a day when you can no longer do this, today is not that day!”, and I found it to be extremely motivational. I hope that day never comes!
